For the safe and optimal operation of a combustion engine, the sealing of all fluids contained in the engine - combustion gas, coolant and lubricating oil – has to be ensured at all times. Especially in the engine´s combustion chambers, ignition pressures of over 200 bar and temperatures above 400 °C place high demands on the sealing materials in use.
